With "Urbália" (Selo Instituto/ ybrazilmusic) out on the streets, the trio Rodrigo Brandão (vocal), Lurdez da Luz (vocal) and Alexandre Basa (instruments and programming) leads the listener to dialogue with their first work. A coherent and intense dialogue, unlike the ones you hear in traffic jams, having a cup of coffee or in a queue at the bank. If in a previous track it synthesized the sound of "São Paulo S/A", reporting you back to Luiz Sergio Person's classic movie, now there is an amplified portrait of the universal concrete - the acid city Urbália. The globalized urbanity (no echo of neo-liberalism, let us be clear about it), of a somewhat chaotic lifestyle of the big cities, the maintenance of sanity and of non-fiction smile on the face is expressed in the very presonal lyrics. The suggestion here is of an allegoric São Paulo read to the world and an allegoric world read to São Paulo. "Urbália" is a hip hop record that oscilates between dub, funk, jazz and outer space sonority. Produced entirely by Alexandre Basa (in charge of the beats and live effects), the album brings interventions from Afrika Bambaataa (also present on the first CD) who in a South Bronx New Yorker accent announces the group in the introduction; to the beat box of Rhazel, the Godfather of Noyze, from the Philadelphian crew The Roots on the track Isso Aqui Não É 1 Teste!.
